Dirty Hands
Last week, I was working and we were staining and resealing the cement flooring of a swimming pool room. My job was to do the inside rim above the swimming pool without getting any chemicals inside the pool. So I used my hand to catch the drippings of the urethane. Pretty soon my hands were covered and my hands were sticking to everything I touched. It was like putting superglue all over your hands. I spread my fingers as far apart from each other as I could so they wouldn't stick to each other. And the hand that was holding the roller brush got stuck to the roller brush. It was awful to pry it off. After a while the urethane dried and it was permanently stuck to my skin. I came home and used fingernail polish remover, fast orange, gas, anything I could think of. Five days later it's just about off only because I've been picking at it relentlessly.
Moral of the story: Hands are not made for everything.

Sunday
This is me sitting in a hammock at Spencer's house. I've always wanted a hammock and now I live with one. It's beautiful. I don't sit in it as much as I would like, but that's okay. This was a relaxing Sunday afternoon. I went to church, and decided to walk home, however, I didn't realize I was wearing terrible shoes for walking and half way home had to take them off. I have 3 big blisters on toes that have already popped. I walked a half a mile bare foot in a dress on one one of the busiest streets in Layton in a dress. Perfect.

Sorry sorry Sorry
I apologize for not posting for a while this summer has been so crazy. I've just been going where the wind blows and I'm still not done yet. It's been fun except I'm going to be running out of funds soon. I applied for a job shuttling rental cars at the airport. Right after I filled out an application they asked if I had time for an interview so I went in for an interview that lasted 2 hours. The man was really nice and the interview went really well. He said the only thing keeping him back from hiring me is that I wouldn't work on Sundays and that was a busy day so he wouldn't hire me if I didn't. He said I had to work every Sunday for the rest of the summer. It was tempting because it would have been a great job driving nice cars and meeting new people all the time, but I just couldn't bring myself to accepting it. Their loss. ha.

Work
It took me 7 hours to sweep a floor today. I think I'm a slow sweeper. I would try to go fast but then I would get overwhelmed with all that was left so I concluded to just be steady because I didn't want to burn myself out. I did it though. I finished a job, I will only have to begin again tomorrow. haha.

My Project
Tell me how this looks, I took off all the logos as to whose it's going to be just in case I would get in trouble, you know. But I was just experimenting and so if it looks okay we may keep it, if not then it's gone and I'll just do another one. But I was just wondering everyone's professional opinion. It's not finished, not even close, just in the beginning stages.5/09/2007
Patience
Patience in self, patience in being, patience in living, patience with others. All these things are great treasures to possess. I'm learning that I probably don't have very much of any of them. Funny. Life will is going to be great because I know if I don't have these things I'll soon get them, huh. Beautiful.

Fat Face
I just ripped out my wisdom teeth on Thursday and now one side of my face is puffy. ha. I looked like a mushroom head this morning. haha. I only had three so on one side I still can eat. Like yesterday I ate hamburgers and of course I can still eat cookies if I eat them really slow. But I feel like I'm on a diet. It's crazy.

Ice Caves
Yesterday I went out to the ice caves in the dark. The snow was too deep to drive all the way to the caves so we had to walk the last mile to the cave. I wasn't in favor of it but I just went along with the random idea. When we go to the caves it was pretty cool because you just walk or slide on a river of ice. There's places where you have to lay down to get through. But it was pretty fun. I wish I had pictures but that's ok. So it turned out better than I thought. It was a great adventure and I would do it again. It kind of looked like this but with more snow...

Monday Night
Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day. I didn't expect anything great to really happen because I didn't have any plans for the day, but it ended up being a wonderful day. I helped Dave with his project and I got to skip one of my classes. For dinner he and his roommates invited me over for a bbq. It was fun. Later I went to FHE, and then we got to combine with another FHE and play ultimate frisbee which was awesome. Next the neighbors upstairs invited us to their Ice cream Sunday Party where basically it was an ice cream fight outside our house. I just watched, though, I didn't want to get sticky and waste food like that. And finally I got to watch a lightning storm on top of a roof with my roommate. It was a good day.

Love Sac
This is Kate's Love Sac we used to have last semester. I don't have any new pictures of this semester because I don't have a camera and these were taken by my roommates camera. That's okay last semester was funny. In the first pictur I am underneath the love sac pretending to be a turtle and giving my roommate Tiffiny a ride. And in the second one I am on top and Tiff is underneath. We were bored. haha.

Master Experiment
I made a short movie for one of my Sociology classes and in it I decided to record random people doing random things in public and put it all together with a song. I was going to post it but it is too big of a file besides it probably would require an explanation and all I would say is it's all about life. It was the first movie I ever made in my whole life.

Skiing
I went skiing for free last week. I just got my BYU-I driving permit and my roommate was in charge of it so she asked me to drive one of the vans up with some students. I agreed to and I got a free pass to go up. I wasn't planning on going skiing because I don't really like it but I figured if it was free I would try it. I headed up the mountain and I was so scared. I barely made it off the lift without falling. Then me and my roommate headed down the mountain. Still scared, I followed her. Half way down the mountain we got seperated and I haven't skiied since I was 10 years old. I was terrible. I hated it the rest of the way down. I thought I was going to die, but I didn't cuz I'm still here today. But I promised myself I would never do that again if I made it down safely. I just wasn't made to be a skiier I've decided. We all have our own skills and this is not one of mine.
